Companion extension
Understand what the Cheqq Companion browser extension does once it's paired with your account.
The Cheqq Companion is a browser extension that lets Agent mode see and act on the page you're viewing, and lets browser-triggered workflows run from your current tab.
Pairing
There's no separate pairing code — install the extension and sign in to Cheqq in the same browser, and it picks up your session automatically. Each browser install registers as a device in Settings → Devices, where you can rename it, mark one as primary, or remove (unpair) it.
What it can do
Once paired, the extension can:
- Capture the current page — readable article text, your current text selection, or a screenshot — and feed it into a chat or a browser-triggered workflow
- Drive the browser directly when Agent mode needs to — navigating, clicking, typing, and reading the page — inside a dedicated tab group Cheqq controls, not your regular browsing tabs
You stay in control
Sensitive-looking actions (buying, paying, deleting, submitting) ask for your approval in the side panel before they run, and you can take manual control of the agent's tab at any time to pause it.
Where it lives
The extension's only interface is the browser's side panel — opened from the toolbar icon — showing your signed-in status, any browser-triggered workflows available for the current tab, and an approval/control panel while the agent is active.
